Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

This module will first introduce the student to networks and ecosystems. The student will learn that ecosystems are comprised of a network of institutions, resources, delivery services infrastructure and supply chains. The student will study how different elements interact with each other and the drivers of competitiveness within the supply chain ecosystem.

This module will guide the student through the supply chain ecosystems in a clear, step-by-step manner, so that they can fully understand this vital element of modern business operations.

Learning objectives

Knowledge

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary knowledge for:

  • defining what a supply chain ecosystems are and its components.
  • defining how to map a supply chain ecosystem.
  • defining how to use the ecosystem framework in supply chain analysis.

Skills

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary skills in:

  • describing and defining supply chain ecosystems.
  • mapping supply chain ecosystems.
  • mapping power and dependencies between the different actors.

Competences

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary competences in:

  • analysing and evaluating supply chain ecosystems.
  • defining the different actors, resourcers and links in supply chain ecosystems.
  • evaluating power & dependencies between actors in supply chain ecosystems.
