A long Master’s thesis exceeding 30 ECTS credits must be of an experimental nature and approved by the Head of Studies. By “experimental nature” it is understood that the student’s work on the Master’s thesis involves the generation of original data through the execution of actual experiments in a laboratory or similar setting. The amount of experimental work must reflect the allotted ECTS.
