Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

The business collaboration is a business-related process, where the student applies their knowledge of core areas within international business.

The business collaboration results in a written report in which the student articulates the knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired through the collaboration and combines this with the latest knowledge on the chosen topic through a thorough literature review.

Throughout the module, the student works on identifying, investigating, analyzing, and reflecting on a self-chosen issue closely related to core areas within international business, which the student finds relevant and interesting to explore. A supervisor will be assigned to the student.

Learning objectives

Knowledge

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary knowledge on:

  • how organisations apply principles and knowledge from the international business discipline in practice.
  • practical issues within master programme issues.
  • contemporary research within the chosen topic.

Skills

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary skills in:

  • applying relevant knowledge and skills in practice to identify and solve specific international business-related tasks.
  • critically thinking and reflecting on practice to connect theory and practice, including how principles from the international business discipline can be applied in practice.
  • selecting and applying relevant theories to understand and analyse specific international business-related problems.

Competences

The objective is that the student after the module possesses the necessary competences in:

  • converting practical experiences from the business cooperation into learning and new knowledge.
  • combining theory and practice to solve specific international business tasks.
