Sensors are essential to data collection and thus an essential part of virtually any electronic system. As a consequence, they are also becoming small and cheap, and with the ongoing rapid introduction of ubiquitous wireless networking technologies, advanced sensors are quickly becoming a cornerstone of embedded systems to facilitate Internet-of-Things. The purpose of this course is to give the student insight to sensor operation, data representation and processing, and implementation in embedded systems.
