Projects may involve optimizing algorithms for parallel execution on multi-core processors, designing and implementing GPU-accelerated computations, parallelizing applications for distributed computing environments, or optimizing performance-critical components of software systems. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the underlying principles of high-performance computing, applying optimization techniques, and evaluating performance metrics.
Must have knowledge of methods for optimizing algorithms for parallel execution on multi-core processors
Must have knowledge of GPU-accelerated computations and programming paradigms
Must have knowledge of techniques for parallelizing applications for distributed computing environments
Must understand performance metrics and methodologies for evaluating performance of distributed computing systems
Must be able to apply parallel execution models and methodologies for parallel programming and parallel applications development
Must be able to develop and optimize high-performance computing systems and analyzing their performance
Must be able to develop GPU-accelerated computations for high-performance tasks
Must be able to utilize advanced tools and programming frameworks for high-performance computing
Must have competences in designing and implementing scalable and efficient computing solutions
Must be capable of evaluating and improving the performance of computing systems based on defined metrics and methodologies
Must have competence in designing and implementing distributed systems and handling data parallelism and task parallelism
