Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

The purpose of the bachelor's project is for the student to document competencies in applying economic theories and methods while working on a specific academic topic. The topic for the bachelor's project is chosen by the student and approved by the study board.

Learning objectives

Knowledge

The goal is for the student, after the module, to have knowledge of:

• how to identify, formulate, and delimit a relevant economic issue.

Skills

The goal is for the student, after the module, to have skills in:

• planning and conducting an analysis using relevant concepts, theories, methods, and data.
• critically assessing the theoretical, methodological, and empirical basis of the analysis.
• evaluating the results and discussing possible implications.
• developing a learning portfolio based on experiences from the entire bachelor's program.

Competences

The goal is for the student, after the module, to have competencies in:

• planning and conducting projects that address key economic issues, from the idea phase to the implementation of proposed solutions.
• identifying their own learning needs and structuring their learning in different learning environments.
• theoretically and practically analyzing a relevant economic issue and using this knowledge to make well-founded scientific and practical decisions related to the issue, both independently and in teams.
