Through the project module, the student gains insight into the development and implementation of an interactive design to solve a specific problem in collaboration with a company (private or public). A partial solution must be programmed to address the problem. Students work with the design aspects of a concept and suitable process for implementing the solution in the company. The solution must be demonstrable and it must be evaluated how the solution potentially can improve the situation in the company.

Learning objectives

Knowledge

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of how activities in an interaction design process can be included in a specific company (private or public)

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of how interaction design can contribute to solving a problem in a specific company (private or public)

Skills

  • Must be able to analyze and evaluate the importance of an interactive design for solving a problem in a specific company (private or public)

  • Must be able to collaborate on programming a specific interactive design in a selected programming language

  • Must be able to demonstrate and document a coherent design concept through a working prototype

Competences

  • Able to argue for a suitable process for future implementation of the developed interactive design in a company (private or public)

  • Able to assess the expected effect of future implementation of the developed interactive design in a company (private or public)
