Designing Interaction With Data

Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

This is an English translation of the module. In case of discrepancy between the translation and the Danish version, the Danish version of the module is valid.

The purpose of the project module is to introduce students to the design of digital technologies with a focus on the use of and interaction with data. In the module, there is a special focus on building or adapting an AI model that can be trained with data. This data can be of different types, and can also be either own data or from publicly available data sets. In addition, the module will involve working with interaction or use of the model in a given context, and the work in the project can also touch on classic issues within AI, such as fairness or trust.

Learning objectives

  • must have basic knowledge of AI concepts and models, and the precision and speed of the models
  • must have basic knowledge of the significance of data for and relation to the models
  • must have knowledge of human-AI forms of interaction
  • must have knowledge of evaluating interaction with AI, e.g. the importance of AI for the interaction

  • must be able to develop a model for prediction which can be trained with data and used for evaluation of data
  • must be able to design user interaction with the model and the associated data

  • must be able to reflect on the role of AI and / or data in interactive systems
