  • International and transnational non-governmental and social movement organizations and their significance for international society.

The student must attain

Skills in:

  • understanding and describing the role of international organizations in the international society 
  • describing and analyzing the structure and work processes of international and transnational organizations.

 

Competences

The student must attain

Competencies in:

  • Selecting and describing relevant methods for analyzing and describing organizational issues
  • critically discussing important issues related to major international, transnational and international social movement organizations
  • deploying relevant theories for significant issues related to international and transnational organizations
  • communicating about issues in international and transnational organizations in a clear, well-formulated written English.

The examination is an individual take-home assignment; the content of the assignment must demonstrate that the student has achieved the above-mentioned learning objectives. The exact content of the assignment will be determined by the course instructor at the start of the semester. The assignment paper must comprise a maximum of twelve pages

The assignment paper will be evaluated by the examiner.

Any re-examinations will be held in accordance with the above guidelines on the basis of a revised assignment paper.
