The student must attain

Knowledge and understanding of:

  • the spectrum of major religious traditions on an international basis
  • philosophical and cultural traditions related to arrays of global religions

  • various international social and political conflicts articulated as related to religious difference or worldview.

Skills

The student must attain

Skills in:

  • analyzing international conflict articulated as related to issues in religious worldviews

  • applying understandings of various religions’ philosophical and cultural traditions to projects of conflict resolution.

Competences

The student must attain

Competencies in:

  • communicating the impact of religious belief and worldview on international conflict
  • contributing to the solution of intercultural problematics articulated as related to religion.

The examination is an individual take-home assignment; the content of the assignment must demonstrate that the student has achieved the above-mentioned learning objectives. The exact content of the assignment will be determined by the course instructor at the start of the semester. The assignment paper must comprise a minimum of six pages and a maximum of eight pages.
The assignment paper will be evaluated by the examiner.Any re-examinations will be held in accordance with the above guidelines on the basis of a revised assignment paper.
