Knowledge
- Understand what decision-analytic modelling implies and its
relation to prioritisation in healthcare
- Demonstrate knowledge of different types decision-analytic
models and their application in health economic evaluation
- Demonstrate knowledge of the design and methods for economic
analysis conducted alongside clinical trials
- Understand the importance of uncertainty and how it may affect
decision making
- Understand the potential value of future research in relation
to the decision making process
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cutting-edge methods within
economic evaluation
Skills
- Extract, present and analyse relevant data for the construction
of decision-analytic models by conducting a systematic search of
the existing literature
- Design and apply decision-analytic models for the evaluation of
new interventions
- Analyse real-world data in relation to economic evaluation
using statistical software
- Produce a probabilistic sensitivity analysis
Competences
- Differentiate between different types of uncertainty and assess
the importance for economic evaluation
- Critically assess the methods and results of health economic
evaluations based on decision-analytic modelling
