Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

Purpose
To sharpen the methodological awareness and reflection on the importance of choice of method in design processes. The aim is to enable the student to be able to put forward clear arguments in a cross-scientific and interdisciplinary practical context for the choice of method based on the assessment of opt-outs.

The module's focus on methodology is integrated horizontally on the semester to support the practical technological and business design processes in the other modules.

The module is organized with seminars and workshops, where the student's academic portfolio is a prerequisite for participation.

For the module, the following methodological themes will be addressed:

  • video as data
  • video observation
  • role for video observation
  • fixation of roles in social and scientific contexts
  • flow and ritual in interpersonal interaction
  • video as a tool for sketching and animation
  • 360 degree 3D VR
  • video recording by drone

The module is organized using seminars and workshops.

The student is expected to spend 27.5 hours per ECTS, which for this activity means 275 hours.
