Learning objectives

Knowledge

The student must attain

Knowledge and understanding of:

  • key concepts and theories within policy analysis
  • the target areas of policy analysis, their and practical usage
  • significant methodological approaches to practices of policy analysis.

Skills

The student must attain

Skills in:

  • analyzing concrete social and political events and problems from a policy perspective.

Competences

The student must attain

Competencies in:

  • critically discussing social and political incidents and processes in relation to central approaches in policy analysis
  • communicating about issues related to policy analysis in a clear, well-formulated written English.

The examination is an individual exam portfolio; the content of the portfolio must demonstrate that the student has achieved the above-mentioned learning objectives that the student has achieved the above-mentioned learning objectives and has participated actively in course activities. The requirements for the contents of the portfolio will be determined by the course instructor at the start of the semester.

The assignment paper will be evaluated by the examiner.

Any re-examinations will be held in held in accordance with the above guidelines on the basis of a revised exam portfolio.
