  • various genres of intra- and inter-organizational communication, such as policy papers, news features, press releases, presentations, emails and reports for public or private sector actors.

Skills in:

  • identifying and working with multiple professional genres.

Competencies in:

  • deploying multiple styles of English in a context-appropriate manner
  • producing effective texts across multiple genres and professional contexts
  • developing texts with an awareness of audience and purpose.

The examination is an individual exam portfolio; the content of the portfolio must demonstrate that the student has achieved the learning objectives and has participated in course activities. The requirements for the contents of the portfolio will be determined by the course instructor at the start of the semester.

The exam will be evaluated by the examiner.

Any re-examinations will be held in accordance with the guidelines on the basis of a revised exam portfolio.
