The objective of the module is to provide students with knowledge of critical analysis of core themes within sustainable planning; these issues are crucial for authorities in low and middle income countries (at the local, regional and national levels), for international organisations and within the field of international tourism.

The module includes themes within:

• cases from various areas of the world with a focus ethics that are particularly relevant to planning and policy within the field of sustainable development
• financial crises and their implications for different regions
• corporate responsibility

The module consists of lectures and seminars, including exercises and student contributions.
