Content, progress and pedagogy of the module

Objectives

The objective of the module is to provide students with a broad understanding of the skills and strategies required for project management; to introduce students to key theories, concepts and terminology related to international organisations and project management, and enable students to assess selected concrete cases in a critical manner.

Contents

This module provides students with a broad understanding of project management and its related theories, concepts and terminology, with a special focus on international organisations. In the module, concrete case study examples will be used to provide a pragmatic framework for the learning process.

Type of instruction

The module consists of a combination of lectures, seminars, as well as discussions around concrete cases, with emphasis on active learning. Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions.

Active participation/continuous evaluation
The examination for Project Management and International Organisations is an internally assessed individual examination consisting of a requirement of active participation in the module’s teaching sessions and activities. The study board will define the requirements for active participation, which will be communicated to the class at the beginning of the semester.

Any re-examination will be a 48-hour take-home assignment set by the course instructor. The assignment paper must not exceed 6 pages.
