Must have knowledge about planning and control methods for production and service systems and the supporting IT-systems.
Must have knowledge of a number of time series methods for forecasting.
Must have knowledge of inventory management methods and their applications.
Must have knowledge of linear programming as a tool for planning.
Be able to develop and evaluate the performance of a suitable time series forecasting model based on real data.
Be able to conduct a Material Requirements Planning break down.
Be able to choose planning and control methods depending on the context and composition of the production or service system.
Be able to design and re-design planning and control systems in production and service management companies adapted to a company’s specific situation.
Be able to find optimal planning solutions.
Be able to combine a number of mathematical tools in an appropriate manner to design a comprehensive planning and control system.

Since it is a 5 ECTS course module the expected workload is 150 hours for the student.
